Nearly two years ago, our family experienced the unimaginable. I lost my 33-year-old son to mental health. He took his own life, and in that moment, our world changed forever.

But the story doesn’t end there.

My youngest son, just 15 at the time, didn’t just lose his brother — he lost his role model, his support, and someone who was deeply involved in his racing journey. The impact on him, and on all of us, has been profound.

What we have learned through this loss is something that cannot be ignored:

• Too many men are struggling in silence.
• Too many feel they cannot speak.
• Too many believe they have to carry everything alone.
